PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT
LIABILITY

The Northwest Wingless Tour (NWWT) was founded for the promotion and improvement of sprint car auto racing. All registered participants hereby release NWWT management and employees, corporate and series sponsors, and anyone else associated with the NWWT from any and all claims resulting from any injury or death while engaged in any activity involving the NWWT.

CONDUCT

All participants at NWWT events are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all tracks. Any owner and driver of NWWT that fails to conduct him or herself in a professional and sportsmanlike manner will be disqualified for the remainder of the event, and will forfeit all points and purse monies for the event. The NWWT management may impose additional suspension and/or fines after review of the infraction.

All owners and drivers will be responsible for the conduct of their pit crew and guests. Unacceptable behavior by any member of the racing team (i.e., owner, driver, pit crew, guests) will result in immediate disqualification of the car and driver.

The use of alcohol and drugs is prohibited at all NWWT events. In addition, the use of stimulants or prescription medications found to impair the ability of the driver to safely drive will be reviewed by NWWT management. Any driver, owner, pit crew member or guest found to be drinking alcohol or taking illegal drugs during the competition portion of the race program will result in the immediate disqualification of the team from that NWWT event. A second offense will result in disqualification from NWWT competition for the remainder of the season.

The NWWT management is committed to a sportsmanlike, professional, competitive and enjoyable racing series. Our fans appreciate this perspective. Our tracks and sponsors demand it. For these reasons there is a zero-tolerance for on-track altercations involving the cars, and verbal abuse or fighting in the pit area.

Drivers, owners and race teams will be expected to handle all on-track and off-track incidents in a civilized manner. In the case of a dispute team members are strictly prohibited from entering another team's pit area. If a race team feels a that a serious infraction of the sportsmanlike and professional racing code of the NWWT has occured they should contact a NWWT official at the track. Penalties for violation of the NWWT Rules of Conduct will be decided upon by NWWT officials on a case-by-case basis, but will involve as a minimum a disqualification from that racing event.

START OF RACING AND RESTARTS

The pole car sets the pace on all race starts. This will be a safe and steady speed for a clean start. Any car getting out of line will be sent to the rear of the field.

All starts and restarts will be off of Turn 4. When the green flag and green lights are displayed, racing begins for all rows.

Single file restarts are handled the same way. We will use a cone starting system when available. No passing before the cone. The lead car will set a safe and steady speed for the restart. Any car that is not in single file order will be sent to the rear of the field. Single file is defined as one car directly behind another. A car with two (2) yellow flag infractions will be disqualified from the race.

Intentional and inappropriate contact with other cars during a start or restart will result in a transfer to the rear of the field or black flagged from the race for severe infractions. During red flag periods drivers will be informed of their position for the restart. Failure to take proper restart position will result in that car being send to the back of the field.

YELLOW & RED FLAG POLICY

* Any car that stops after being being pushed off for a race for any reason other than avoiding another stopped car (if track were blocked while under yellow for instance) will be sent to the back of the field and charged with a yellow flag infraction.

* Any car needing to be pushed off on the track after being involved in an incident that brings out the yellow flag will tag the back of the field and be charged with a yellow flag infraction.

* Any car that stops on the race track for any complaint will be black flagged from that race.

* Any driver that switches cars after the program has started will start at the rear of that driver's next race.

* Drivers are not allowed to change cars in the middle of a race. The car you start with is your official entry for that event.

* Red flags will be closed generally. If an open red is allowed by a hosting track, the following NWWT rules will apply to cars stopped on the racing surface under red flag conditions: No re-fueling of cars or changing of tires. If a tire change is required, that must be done in the pit area and that car will tag the back of the field. Removing a tire to add or remove spacers is allowed but it is recommended that you inform a track official to avoid any potential misunderstanding. It is requested for safety reasons that no more than two crew members be on the track. Fuel stops will be at track's discretion.

YELLOW FLAG RESTARTS

On a yellow flag restart, if you cannot remember where you were, an official will give you an indication. Failure to move your car into position within one lap will result in you being sent to the rear of the field. NWWT and track officials will not delay the racing program to resolve perceived issues related to position on a restart. Any team feeling that a restart position was incorrectly assigned can address the issue with a NWWT official after the race.

RACE NIGHT & SEASON POINTS FORMAT
2011 NWWT RACE NIGHT FORMAT

QUALIFYING

Qualifying order determined by pill draw. One car on track at a time for 2 timed laps. Fastest lap is your official time.

Any car that qualifies out of order by more than one position will be still eligible for season points if time is good enough (if a registered NWWT driver) but will be scored no higher than 16th for line-up purposes.

- - -

HEAT RACES, 10 laps

Minimum 6 cars, maximum 12 cars per heat. Invert 6 cars. If 2 or 3 heats, transfer 5. If 4 heats, transfer 4. Fastest six qualifiers who transfer are locked into trophy dash. 3 heats if 18 or more cars. 4 heats if 28 or more cars entered.

- - -

TROPHY DASH, 6 laps

Drivers draw, by order of qualifying time, for starting positions. Finish of dash determines first six starting positions of A-Main.

- - -

B-MAIN, 10 laps if 10 or fewer cars or 15 laps if 11 or more cars

B-Main lines straight up by qualifying time. If 3 heats, transfer 5. If 4 heats, transfer 4 to form a 20-car field for A-Main. B-Main winner and 2nd place finisher get their qualifying times back (can start no better than 7th in A-main behind dash cars). Remaining B-Main transfers tag back of A-Main field. First non-transfer car will be the alternate in the event of a scratch from the A-main (Alternate cannot join A-Main once initial green flag is thrown). If there is just the 21st and/or 22nd car running, the B-Main will be scrapped and all cars will run A-Main.

No more than 18 cars, including 2 C-Main transfers, will run the B-Main unless there is just the 19th and/or 20th cars remaining. If needed, C-Main laps will be determined by number of cars, no more than 15 laps, and field will line straight up by qualifying time.

- - -

A-MAIN, generally 30 laps (special shows may be longer)

First three rows are determined by trophy dash finish. If no B-Main, remaining heat race transfers line straight up by time, followed by non-heat race transfer lined straight up by time. If a B-Main is run, remaining heat race transfers and top 2 B-Main finishers will line up by qualifying time behind dash cars and remaining B-Main transfers will tag back of the field according to B-Main finish.

SEASON POINTS FORMAT

In order to receive points toward the NWWT championship and any point fund, drivers MUST REGISTER to join the Northwest Wingless Tour sprint car series. Any point fund money or performance-based awards requires 80% race attendance to be eligible for.

For 2011, the throw-out rule has been introduced on an experimental basis and will be reviewed after the conclusion of the 2011 season. Registered drivers will have their lowest night score from completed events removed from their season point totals. If a registered driver misses a completed event, the missed event will be that driver's throw-out. May 16th clarification: Due to the nature of the throw-out rule, drivers will only get points for events that are completed entirely (qualifying, heats and mains all run). A Northwest Wingless Tour sprint car series event will be considered completed when at least the majority of scheduled A-Main event laps are completed. Points will not be awarded if only part of an event is completed before cancellation.

You get points strictly for where you finish (if you finish 2nd you get 2nd place points, even if car in front of you isn't a NWWT-registered driver).

75 show-up points when you sign in at pit gate with your car.
